Glebe Farm Nursery School is a year round nursery open for 49 weeks a year, offering ‘OUTSTANDING’ standards of care and education as judged by Ofsted.
Idyllically located in 2 acres of woodland and meadows on the outskirts of Lincoln, a haven for freedom and exploration. The purpose built nursery has been designed with children in mind providing an exciting and stimulating space for them to grow and explore, where independence and active learning is given priority.
Nursery experience is often a child’s first venture into the larger world outside of their family home. By working in close partnership with parents and families we aim to provide a stimlulating yet challenging environment, which is a warm and friendly extension of the home. The happy family atmoshere helps Children immediately feel secure and develop the confidence to explore, have fun, play, talk and learn together. We hope you will soon feel you belong here!
"The setting provides a highly motivating learning environment for all children. Extremely strong relationships between staff and their key children are a significant strength of the setting." Ofsted 2012
Glyn and Sarah Owen-Jones created Glebe Farm Nursery School in 1996 as a response to the need for excellent quality nursery care for their own daughters. Sarah comes from a primary teaching background, having previously worked as an Early Years Co-ordinator in Lincolnshire. Glyn had a former life as a Submariner in the Royal Navy and is consequently very aware of the challenges of Forces family life!
Sarah and Glyn’s vision was to provide the highest quality child centred care for pre-school children. They spent 12 months searching for the ideal location, where children could have access to lots of fresh air in beautiful safe rural surroundings, far away from city fumes.
